New music, written for your players and your occasion.
I write new concert works for ensembles, performers and presenters: string quartets, chamber ensembles, and smaller combinations. My harmony comes out of the guitar, and I am glad to write for it.
A commission begins with a conversation about the players, the occasion and the length of the piece. From there I propose a timeline and a fee scaled to the scope of the work. Every commission includes a full score and engraved parts, ready for rehearsal, and I am happy to work with the players as the piece comes to life.
Consortium commissions, where several ensembles share the cost and each gives a performance, are welcome.
