Aloneness Is Communion
In response to Denny's Mystic Mind Taffy
Early Autumnal stillness permitting clear vantage to worlds larger than large, to ways of being that eclipse all noise and limit of the perennially mandated permissible way.
En masse, we throw away our potential for fear of loneliness at being misunderstood. Yet we get in return only an ersatz companionship, Paid for with the sacrifice of our imaginal soaring in aloneness and communion.
"Community" is loneliness. Aloneness is Communion.
Culture is inherited limited perception in the name of survival. Divorced from the creative actors who discovered and invented its original forms — our progenitors — Culture over time instead degenerates (and degenerates us!) and we become psychopenic — we suffer from a atrophy of soul (or worse, a dystrophy!).
What we need by way of remedy is pneuma — spirit, breath — occasioned by time away from the herd.
As Fawn said today after our swim: "I just have to get my lungs back." Capacious lungs, affirmed marker of vitality, whose metaphor sings itself.
Give us this day our daily Breath! And let us Conspire, bearing witness to each other's flight in aloneness.
According to the dictionary culture means caring and worship; society means companionship and friendly association with others.
Understood as such, both become tremendous potential hosts of spirited activity. Time away from both (in flight, in saunter, in peregrination, in contemplation) is an act of love towards both and towards self. Breath-hunting, Breath-foraging to bring back nourishment for the thirsting tribe.
