Grail's Angel
In response to
A mirror image of self Is a direct translation Of the separation, By the looker looking Through interpretation.
Looking is an opening To the translator's receive Of provisions, rendering Likely, an understanding Indelibly written by habit,
On a spherical field-screen Of densifying interpretations, Silvering and reflecting, the Re-enforcing of a coalescing, Centripetal-izing self-center.
A mirror silvered both sides, Provides bounded reflection For separate lookers, looking: Twin-silvered bubbles, staring Throughout a Sea of Being;
Self-stranded interpretations, Feeding on reflections: veiling Habitual obscurations, To the regenerative influence Of living recurrent creation!
Mirrors as anti-portals...? Our reflection as anti-icon....? Reflection as deflection...?
So much to think with as I read about the Grail legends, the Cathars, Henry Corbin, medieval troubadours, the philosopher' stone, and other iconic concepts (concepts which engender recept)...
... continuing this weekend's fun inquiry into the relationship between the words Alam and Qalam, in specific reference to Alam-al-Mithal. Wondering about the Qalam ink pen of the Arab writers, and supplementing with the computer's new AI, tumbled forth:
Qalam-al-Mithal, "imaginal pen",
and
Kalam-al-Mithal, "imaginal speech"..
Which tonight leads to a queste to musicalize the explore...
"Mūsīqā al-Riḥla ilā ʿĀlam al-Mithāl" "Music of the Journey to the Imaginal Realm."
Mūsīqā al-ʿUbūr ilā ʿĀlam al-Mitahāl" "Music of the Crossing to the Imaginal Realm."
Which I can only imagine would sound like Arabic melismatic chant, or "Mawwal"
Mawwal al-Mithal "The Imaginal Chant"
al-Mawwāl al-ʿĀbir ilā ʿĀlam al-Mithāl "The chant which carries to the imaginal realm"
al-Mawwāl alladhī yuʼaddī ilā ʿĀlam al-Mithāl "The chant that crosses to the imaginal realm"
....
New Creatures for my Compositional Bestiary.
